Our first Paint Nite is this Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 PM! This event will be taught by our very own Art Teacher, Rachel O’Brien! And the best news is, this event is open to middle school and up students! The first Paint Nite like this in our region! How cool is that?!!? Home and school will be selling Johnny’s 2 for 1 coupon books again this year.  The cost of the book is $55 and it’s good until Jan 31st 2018.  You can purchase the book by going to school cash online site or by sending the money into the office with your name and contact number, addressed to the home & school re: johnny’s 2 for 1.  Orders must be in by February 15th and expected delivery will be mid to late February. Each book purchased donates just over $19 to the school and you get great savings.  It’s a win for everyone! We appreciate the support Also next open...

Well, We are officially accepting sign ups for this year’s Mistletoe Market. The date is November 19th from 10am-3pm in the Northrop Frye School cafeteria.  We have 52 tables available and will only be renting single spaces. The table measures approximately 6 feet by 2.5 feet with an attached bench in front, perfect to display larger items.  Table rental is once again $25. We are aware this date is a busy day with many events happening around the city but we are going to make this event the best we can. We will be looking into different means of advertising this year to help boost attendance. Last...

What: Halloween Party Where: Northrop Frye School Gym (Enter through bus doors) When: Friday, October 28th 6-8pm Why: Halloween gives us a reason to have fun with a costume contest, games, a gross out touch station and a dance party! As the Home and School we support many school events and activities and the Scholastic book fair is one. Marcelle Blomerus asked us to recruit volunteers and drum up some attention for this great event, so here’s the info: Our next Scholastic Book Fair will be from November 21 to November 25, 2016. We are looking for volunteers to help us during the time slots below. All Book Fair volunteers will be able to get a chance to go to the Scholastic Warehouse sale (50% 0ff) after the book fair.   Friday night at 5:30pm the doors open.  We will be serving Little Caesar’s cheese or pepperoni pizza for $2 a slice and we’ll have the regular goodies for sale as well (popcorn, fruit snacks, water and juice boxes).  Admission cost $3 a person or $10 for a family of 4 or more. Pizza will be served in the cafeteria until 6pm and the movie will begin at 6:15 in the gym.   Bring your blanket and pillow and comfy clothes and enjoy an evening out while supporting NFS!

welcome back to our friends – old and new Hi everyone and welcome back to school year 2016-17!!! It’ll be a great one! We are already on our way to completing our first week of school therefore the remaining home and school association executive got together last evening for a quick “unofficial” meeting.   Our main goal was to get a plan rolling to set up a date for our first meeting and organize to have a table displayed in the lobby at school for Meet the teacher night next Thursday Sept 15th.  So that being said our first home and school meeting for the 2016-17 school...
