Northrop Frye Home & School Association had the extreme pleasure of granting teaching teams items from their classroom Wish Lists, which they were asked to submit in advance. Thanks to all the awesome work from our Home & School Association, and the support of many families and staff through events and fundraisers, we were able to approve all wish list items, for a total of over $5400! We know how excited everyone is for Family fun night May 29th and just to make things even more exciting here’s a few items we have collected for our silent auction.  Last year’s silent auction had a great boost in helping us reach our goal to purchase a Spark Brain Bike and this year we will be helping to replace smart board for several classrooms.   We’d also like to take this moment to thank all the parents, local companies and businesses that have generously donated items. Northrop Frye Home and School Association would like to remind everyone that this Friday, March 27th is movie night at the school. This will be our last movie night of the school year. Big Hero 6 will be shown on the big screen and we invite all those interested to dress in their own super hero costumes. A ticket will be given to all those who come dressed up that evening and if your ticket number is drawn you will be going home with your very own DVD and Blue Ray copy of the movie. Northrop Frye will be hosting a Welcome to Kindergarten event on Wednesday, February 18th, from 4:00 to 5:15 pm.  This event is for all students who will begin kindergarten in the Fall of 2015 and their parents.   You are invited to come take part in fun learning activities together.  At the end of the event, each child will go home with a bag of goodies which includes: books, a CD, and more.  If you know of students who are not already registered, please encourage them to register ASAP.  We don’t want anyone to miss this fun afternoon of learning on Wednesday, February 18th, from 4:00...

This is just a few things that came up last night at the home and school meeting. The school noticed that Monday’s Kiss and drop (morning car drop off)  went extremely well with 3 volunteers, So they are hoping to gather some interest in maybe having a few extra volunteers to help out everyday.  If this is something you think you could help with you should contact the school.  The time is from 7:35-8:05 daily but if you can only do 1 day a week or even once in a while, it would be appreciated. Also safe arrival could use a few extra volunteers.  Safe arrival is receiving the messages...

Did you know????  Every Wednesday during lunch time frozen yogurt tubes are for sale for $1.  It’s to raise money for The hospital fundraiser and in the spring for JDRF .  So give your child a dollar and know they can enjoy a healthy treat and support some great causes.
